Myers-Briggs Coaching & Training

Many frustrating workplace issues come up because people simply approach the same thing differently - what seems to make sense to one person is baffling to another.  It is easy to see these differences in approach, communication, problem solving and planning as a nuisance.  However, the differences can actually give teams huge leverage if they understand how to utilize the unique strengths of each team member.  It requires an openness and being willing to look at the team dynamic, including your own contribution, differently. 

 

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment can help teams understand the differences and in turn leverage them instead of focusing on the negative aspects of them. Strategic Action Planning

One of the biggest reasons teams struggle is that they are not aligned.  People are working hard, but often working at cross purposes - this creates frustration and even burn out. Everyone is doing their best, but they are seeing things through the lens of their own role, and not necessarily the organization or team's vision.  

 

Strategic Action Planning is highly effective for gaining team alignment and focus.  This program also surfaces the obstacles that are getting in the way of team effectiveness, in a safe, non-threatening forum.  Team members and leaders can talk about what they need to be effective in their role, and can clarify expectations for greater cohesion and effectiveness.  This makes the work environment more harmonious, stress is reduced, and everyone is more productive.

There is an up front assessment via interviews, questionnaires or some combination.  This helps ensure that team discussions are targeted, relevant and high impact.  There is typically a kick off workshop with open discussion, clear goals, and specific action steps.  Then follow up assessments and discussions to measure progress, stay on track and ensure there is follow through; there is also an opportunity to adapt as we go so new or refined action plans can be built.

 

Involving the team to take ownership of success is vital for a thriving culture and a successful outcomes.  Teams can achieve amazing things together when there is transparency, understanding, collaboration toward common goals, and shared commitment to serving the customer. 

 

This program is effective for singular discipline teams, cross-discipline teams, the exec level for smaller firms, and for JV's that need to meld quickly and efficiently.
